Orivida Research is seeking a board-certified ophthalmologist to serve as a consulting investigator for clinical trials involving eye-area cosmetic products (e.g., serums, mascaras, eyeliners). This is a part-time, flexible contract role, ideal for a Houston-based physician interested in contributing clinical expertise to the beauty and skincare research space.
· You’ll review protocols, conduct ocular assessments, and ensure studies meet safety standards to support claims such as “ophthalmologist tested.”
Requirements
Board-certified ophthalmologist (M.D. or D.O.)
Licensed in Texas
Reside in or near Houston, TX
Board-certified fellows may apply
Research experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
Serve as Investigator or Sub-Investigator on clinical studies
Perform eye exams to assess tolerability (e.g., redness, tearing, irritation)
Review study protocols and final reports
Ensure participant safety and protocol compliance
Support regulatory documentation as needed
